INTERVIEWS FROM MY GRANDMOTHER’S SIDE

The favorite dance of my grandmother are waltz, cha-cha, tango and boogie. They jammmed with their friends playing using “KARANG”  which came from the coconut shell and then pinch the hole and put some ropes at the center. They can walk fast if they can already manage how to use it wisely but the consequence is if you cant balanced you will accidentally fell down. On 1960, as she wakes up early in the morning, she saw a radio with a brand of sony in their sala at a price of 300.00. They can only used the radion during night, because  their parents did not let them listen  the dramas during daytime because they filled their time on the farm and to pasture their animals.  As she had remembered only AM station has before. Her favorite drama was a title of “MUTYA SA LAPOK”. As her parents approach her to go to Manila to have a vacation there and eventually find a job, their past time tv shows during at night is MAALA-ALA MO KAYA” which is still remained now. Her favorite actresses and actors are CARMIN ROSALES with her loveteam ROGELIO DELA ROSA. AMALIA FUENTES< ROMEO BASQUEZ< NESTOR DE VILLA AND SUSAN ROCES. On 1970, as she starts to love music, she never forget the long play album which cotains many hits such as “TOGETHER AGAIN,MUTYA SA SAGING TINDOK and MATUD NILA by Pilita Corales that really touched her heart everytime she hears the song. On long distance communication they used mail and on school related gathering they used dictionary and typewriter.
